Re-recordings

In 1989, under the wing of Jeff Christie’s long-time manager Brian Longley, the Tubeless Hearts re-recorded Yellow River and it had even been scheduled to be released as a single, but Brian’s tragic accidental death effectively shelved the possibility indefinitely. The song was recorded both in a short format (7-inch mix) and in an extended play version (12-inch), but never officially released.

Jeff then decided to reform Christie to perform live on stage, and used the Tubeless Hearts as the core of the new group. In 1992, the new Christie released a re-recorded version of San Bernadino on a CD called the Absence of Time.
