TO cash in on the Christie name and success, former lead guitarist Vic Elmes formed his own band called Christie Again, playing gigs at which he would perform the old Christie hits as well as the songs he wrote while with Christie.
In 2004, Vic's group released a brand new album featuring re-recordings of several Christie hits and songs, as well as some new ones.

Called Christie Again — Greatest Hits and More, the CD was initially released in European countries such as Germany, Sweden and Austria, and later in Asia and South America.
Vic includes his most well-known Christie songs on the CD, including the wonderful New York City and a punchy reworking of Every Now and Then. As well, he contributes three new songs written in the Christie country-pop style: Deep In The Night, Heartbreak Cabin, and Break Free Tonight.
Helping out on the CD is devoted Christie fan Lorenzo Gabanizza, along with his brothers. Together they re-record some old Christie tunes, as well as some new ones written by Lorenzo.
As a bonus for Christie fans, the hard-to-find original version of Jo Jo's Band, featuring Jeff and Paul with Vic, is included. The CD closes with Vic's version of the Ricky Nelson hit Garden Party, which includes the intriguing lines: "They all knew my name, But no-one recognised me, I didn't look the same". Read into that what you will.
