Man Of Many Faces (J Christie)

Jeff's talent shines again with a song about "a man of many faces, changing all the time", which incorporates a slower-paced, boppy melody that is quite different to the structure of songs like Yellow River, but nevertheless just as catchy. This is the first single on which Paul Fenton plays, and also was the first single from the second album. The single reached No 1 or had high chart entries in many European and Asian countries, although failing in the UK.

Country Sam (V Elmes)

Vic Elmes started writing more of his own songs after joining Christie, and this was one of his earliest efforts. As Vic was just starting to dip his toes into the songwriter's pool, this is a simple, straightforward pop tune without any complex arrangements. Titled Country B Sam on the album, the composition uses Vic's customary guitar riffs throughout the song, which tells the tale of an altruistic man named Country Sam. Vic also handles the lead vocals.
